All Levels

Our BJJ All Levels course is designed to help students of all skill levels improve their technique and sparring abilities. The class begins with a warm-up drill, followed by a technical sequence where students can ask questions and practice the techniques taught. We then move on to specific training drills before finishing the class with open sparring. To participate in this class, students must be at least 16 years old and in good physical health.

All Levels+

The All Levels+ course builds on the content of the All Levels course. This course is designed for students who know the rules well and can move fluently. Here we explore “systems” and “games” and incorporate specific and competitive sparring to further sharpen skills.

In this course, students should train independently, with the trainer stepping in to provide guidance and correct small mistakes. It’s about trying out new techniques and shaping your own Jiu-Jitsu style.

If you’re not sure if this course is right for you, just talk to our trainers.

To take this course you must be at least in the year in which you celebrate your 17th birthday.

Start your journey

In our beginners course we focus on the basics of BJJ. Our students learn movements, principles and concepts that help them understand the techniques.

There are different types of beginner courses, and they are all recommended for those in their first few months and up to blue belt. This course is also well suited for those returning after a long break.

The NoGI and GI courses complement each other as both courses focus on different styles that can be combined in different ways.

The “Beginner Introductory” course is particularly recommended for those who have no experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and are looking for a trial lesson.

Classes follow a structure that includes a quick warm-up, explanation of concepts, demonstration of techniques, and finally a game called “King on the Mat” that aims to achieve a specific goal.

To take this course you must be at least in the year in which you celebrate your 17th birthday.

Children – movement

from 5 years

The BJJ movement group for ages 5 and up is a new concept in our DOJO. We combine the advantages of starting contact sports with many playful elements.
The aim is to support children cognitively, physically and emotionally by providing them with physical support through developmentally appropriate exercise activities and at the same time getting to know the rules and appropriate behavior in the play situation.

We focus on improving their motor skills through specially designed movements inspired by Jiu-Jitsu, Yoga and other elements/disciplines.

Children will develop body awareness and self-confidence, learn respect and self-control in a playful way.

By making new friends and sharing experiences, they will learn how to communicate effectively with each other and build good friendships with their fellow players.

Why should your child learn martial arts?

Children – learning

7-12 years

The children’s learning group is for children between 7-12 who are already emotionally and psychologically able to concentrate and who aim to learn BJJ as a contact sport.

Here, after a playful warm-up, the children are introduced to technical training. The children should then repeat the short, basic and clear techniques independently with each other or with the (auxiliary) trainers. In this artificial situation, they learn how to stay calm under pressure, deal with physical confrontation, and defuse tensions and conflicts.
The class usually ends with a free application phase, which allows the children to get to know their own abilities and strength. Above all, they learn to deal with success and failure and to be careful with their partner.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a great way to improve physical, mental fitness and empathy towards others.

Teenagers

Performance group (13-16 years)

The Youth Performance Group is a group only for those who are seriously interested in learning this sport. The ability to concentrate and discipline is required here. The BJJ DOJO reserves the right to transfer children and young people who are not yet ready to participate successfully in this group to the “movement group”.
The training is age-appropriate, but foregoes the playful elements in favor of the performance aspect.

There will be a community warm-up program related to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which will then be followed by a technique session. The technique is repeated with young people who have a similar stature and is corrected by the trainer. There is always the opportunity to ask questions, this shows the trainer that the young person is actively participating. The training ends with a free application phase that enables the young people to apply their skills, try out what they have learned or experiment in a safe environment.

This group helps young people to better understand themselves and their bodies, how they can quickly end physical conflict situations and leave them unscathed. It is used to prepare for the transition to regular training and supports those who are interested in competitions.

Yoga

In our dojo we offer two yoga courses: “Yoga and Mobility for BJJ” and “Sustainable Yoga”. But what makes these two courses different?

Our Yoga and Mobility course is specifically designed to help our BJJ students improve their technique by incorporating essential exercises that promote flexibility, concentration and proper breath control. In addition to its benefits for BJJ training, this class is also open to anyone who wants to try an exceptional yoga practice. By incorporating yoga into your training regime, you can prevent injuries and improve the overall quality of your jiu-jitsu practice.

Our “Sustainable Yoga” is a restorative yoga class that helps our students relax and find some time for themselves to rest. BJJ can be physically and mentally demanding and sometimes our bodies need a break from the demands of training. This class is particularly recommended for those who are injured or simply need a gentler, more sustained yoga practice.

Jiu-Jitsu can be hard on the body, which is why it’s important to take care of yourself both on and off the mat. Combining a regular yoga practice with your training can help heal and nourish your body and ultimately revolutionize your jiu-jitsu. But be careful: once you experience the benefits of yoga, it’s hard to go back! Your body will thank you for giving it extra attention and care

Movement

In our Movement class we incorporate elements from yoga and movements inspired by animal movements to improve mobility, flexibility and body awareness. Based on the principles of Ginastica Natural, which emphasizes both strengthening and stretching the body, this class is suitable for yogis, martial artists and anyone looking for a new and unique workout.

Movement is crucial when practicing BJJ, especially for those who have difficulty understanding techniques. By breaking down specific movements into solo drills, students can improve motor skills and develop a better understanding of how their bodies move. Aside from its benefits for BJJ training, the Movement class also provides students with the necessary requirements for overall fitness and flexibility.

This course is not just for BJJ students, but for anyone who wants to improve their movement skills and overall physical well-being. Whether you are an experienced martial artist or new to fitness, the Movement class has something for everyone.
